Objective

To take the existing text oriented website and logo and create a completely new look that would be visually appealing and inviting while still retaining the policy of educating the visitor on topics in insurance. The site should reflect the 90 years of history of this third generation family business and its orientation toward each client as an individual. It should also become a platform for launching an ambitious program to grow the book of business.

Solution

Tag lines in the presentation and home page establish the people theme and the design of the page headers follow from that focus. The personal and commercial lines are effectively separated with their own navigation without being separated. The firm and its history are reflected in the “About Us” pages. The home page has been designed to frequently be refreshed with up to three featured products that could be used to illustrate the page, educate the visitor, as well as promote insurance services. The site map facilitates searching the site, as does the keyword search capability. Metatags and industry keywords are imbedded in the pages for search engine visibility. 

Results

The site was completed on schedule and in time for release to coincide with moving the home offices to the new location. The site has garnered a number of positive comments from employees and clients. Site traffic is building steadily and we have ongoing projects to update the text in the site, add back end functionality and develop a marketing campaign to generate leads for the producers.
